Job Responsibilities

Payroll Officer / Senior Payroll Officer

We are seeking a detail‑orientated and proactive Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team at our Perth WA Head Office.

About the role

• Monday to Friday at Perth WAC Head Office.
• End to end payroll processing in accordance with legislative requirements and internal policies.
• Ensuring salary disbursements are accurate and delivered within required timeframes.
• Maging overpayments, recoveries leave administration and payroll reporting.
• Interpreting awards, enterprise agreemtns, and relevent legislation.
• Supporting audits, reconciliations, and payroll related queires.
• identifying and implementing opporunities to improve payroll processed and procedures
• Senior Officers are responsible for providing guidance and support to payroll officers as well as assisting with complex payroll matters and escalations.

About you

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of two year's payroll experience within the mining or a similar industry.
• Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience using payroll systems - Chris 21 expeirence will be desiable but not mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Confidence in interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and relevant legislation.
