Occupational Health & Safety Inspector

NRW is one of the fastest-growing Civil and Mining contractors in Australia employing skilled people across a diverse range of Projects. We are actively recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health & Safety Inspector to assist in the delivery of a newly awarded Project in Western Australia

To be considered for this position as an Occupational Health & Safety Inspector you will possess the following:

• Substantial experience as a HSE Advisor, preferably in in a construction or civil resources environment
• Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
• ICAM Lead Investigator trained
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Hold a Construction White Card
• C Class Drivers Licence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong computer skills including the use of MS Office Suite and incident management systems
• Previous experience in a FIFO site-based role
• Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations

As a site-based Occupational Health & Safety Inspector, you will maintain NRW’s strong safety culture and be responsible for but not limited to:

• Assisting the project team to implement and embed the Projects Work Health, Safety Environmental and Training Management System
• Coaching Supervisors in the implementation of hazard and incident prevention on the Project
• Conduct, investigate and report on all incident investigations inclusive of development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Conducting regular inspections on Health, Safety and Environmental SE processes in line with NRW and Legislative requirements
• Develop and present innovative ideas to improve Health, Safety and Environmental aspects on the Project to promote ‘A Safe, Day, Everyday’
• Develop, implement and support HSE education and training programs to create and improve HSE awareness
• Champion health and safety on site
