About the Role
Responsible for developing and assuring mobile equipment compliance across operations including standards management, equipment onboarding, auditing and corrective action tracking. This role provides technical compliance support to sites and drives continuous improvement in equipment safety and regulatory alignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile equipment standards, including mechanical, electrical, safety, and compliance requirements across Redpath operations, ensuring alignment with legislative, client, and company obligations.
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve site equipment onboarding checklists, translating equipment standards and site-specific requirements into clear, auditable acceptance criteria prior to equipment being introduced to site.
- Audit mobile equipment against approved equipment standards and onboarding checklists, both pre-mobilisation and in-service, to verify compliance and identify gaps or non-conformances.
- Record, report, and track equipment non-conformances, working with Plant, Asset, and Site teams to ensure corrective actions are defined, implemented, and closed out.
- Provide technical guidance and compliance support to sites, workshops, and project teams on mobile equipment standards, onboarding requirements, and compliance expectations.
- Maintain controlled documentation and compliance records for audits, standards, checklists, and approvals to ensure traceability and readiness for internal and external review.
- Support continuous improvement of equipment compliance frameworks, incorporating operational feedback, audit learnings, OEM changes, and evolving client or regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of mechanical aspects of heavy equipment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local legislative obligations (e.g., WA Mining Safety and Health Audit Guide, QLD Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act).
- Audit Experience: Experience with safety auditing, risk assessment, and preparing technical reports.
