About the role

We are seeking two Mining Engineers to join us at Mt Magnet on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you’ll play an important role in supporting the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of open pit mining activities. You’ll combine technical engineering with practical operational involvement, contributing to drill and blast design, mine planning, scheduling and production activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver high-quality drill, blast and open pit designs that maximise value.
• Assist with the planning, scheduling and coordination of daily open pit mining activities.
• Contribute to mine planning and scheduling to support safe and compliant production.
• Monitor and report production activities and support budgeting, reporting and production performance.
• Work closely with Geology, Survey and Production teams to support effective mining outcomes.

About You

You are a Mining Engineer with experience in an open pit environment and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy and continuous improvement. You enjoy working closely with operational teams and are looking for an opportunity to further develop your technical and practical mining experience.

You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and seeing your engineering work translate into real operational outcomes.

You'll Ideally Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and experience working in an open pit mining environment.
• Experience with mine planning, scheduling and design.
• Competency with at least mine planning software packages Surpac or Deswik.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and production reporting.
• Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and safety requirements.
