About the Opportunity

• An opportunity has arisen for a Mine Geologist to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Senior Project Geologist and operates on an 8:6 roster.
• Your focus will be on providing geological support to mining operations to help optimise ore extraction and support safe, efficient production.
• Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Underground grade control including stope inspections, stockpile management and face mapping.
  • Logging diamond drill core and maintaining accurate geological and drilling datasets.
  • Designing and coordinating grade control drilling programs, managing drill spacing, pad preparation, and contractor oversight.
  • Supporting geological modelling, documentation updates, and collaborating with Mine Geology, Resource Geology and Exploration teams.
  • Monitoring drilling and production activities, ensuring data quality (QAQC), adherence to schedules and drill rig inspections.
  • Conducting geological interpretation to support orebody understanding and short-term mine planning.
  • Completing underground face mapping, stope inspections.

About You

• Our ideal candidate will have mine geology and diamond drilling logging experience in base metal or gold underground mining settings.
• A tertiary qualification in geology or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with underground grade control practices, including stockpile management, face mapping, stope inspections, and daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
• Experience logging diamond drillholes, balancing high attention to detail with timely execution to enable daily core processing.
• Proficiency in orebody interpretation and clear communication of geological information to operational and technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing daily diamond drilling activities, adjusting hole plans and designs, including providing regular communication and guidance for diamond drilling contractors.
• Ideally, some experience with mining software such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, Micromine, QGIS, Deswik, and Geobank.
• A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
