Permanent Mid Term Planning Superintendent opportunity available at Boggabri Coal Mine in NSW

About the role:

We are looking for a Mid Term Mine Planning Superintendent to join us at our Boggabri mine, an open-cut coal operation producing in excess of 8.6 million tonnes per annum, and with a mine life extending through until 2033. Boggabri mine is located near Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri, regional towns which offer community spirit and a unique and diverse country lifestyle.

The position is responsible for coordinating the mid-term planning requirements including monthly reforecasting, annual budgeting, coal allocations and reserving, optimisation and scenario planning.

About you:

You believe in fostering a positive, collaborative work culture -, ensuring we always put our people first.

• Hold a bachelor degree in mining engineering or other relevant qualification.
• Extensive experience in a variety of technical roles in Open Cut operations (preferably coal operations)
• Proficient use of mining and geology software – Deswik and Vulcan preferred
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Enhanced literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to lead a small team of mining engineers and work collaboratively with other departments across the operation.
