About the Role

Maintenance Planner / Coordinator

  • Spearwood Location
  • Monday to Friday, Full-Time Hours
  • $110,000 - $120,000 + Superannuation
  • Fulltime Permanent Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment and site facilities
  • Scheduling daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections and maintenance tasks
  • Coordinating maintenance staff, contractors and external service providers
  • Monitoring work orders and ensuring maintenance requests are completed on time
  • Supporting workforce planning, rostering, leave coverage and resource allocation
  • Tracking maintenance progress, labour hours, project deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinating equipment testing, compliance inspections and required repair works
  • Ordering spare parts, tools, fittings and consumables, while maintaining critical stock levels to reduce equipment downtime
  • Assisting with small works and capital improvement projects
  • Obtaining quotes, coordinating contractors and arranging access for onsite works
  • Inspecting contractor works and reporting any issues or variations
  • Preparing regular maintenance, project and budget reports
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance, project, compliance and purchasing records
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost-saving initiatives
  • Assisting with safety planning, risk assessments and corrective actions

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar mechanical maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination role
  • Strong understanding of preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Experience with project coordination, workforce planning, scheduling, managing work orders and completing inspections
  • Good understanding of purchasing, inventory control and critical spare parts control
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders, budgets, deadlines and project deliverables
  • Good computer literacy and experience using maintenance management or work-order systems
  • Understanding of workplace safety, compliance and risk management compliance
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance within 6 months or be willing to obtain
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol assessment
