About the role
As a Lineborer with AES, you are responsible for carrying out precision on-site and workshop machining repairs for heavy earthmoving and mining equipment. Using specialised line boring and welding techniques, you will restore worn components to operational condition while minimising downtime and maintaining the highest safety standards.

In this role you will be responsible
- Perform line boring repairs on heavy equipment
- Set up and align line boring equipment on-site and in the workshop
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality workmanship
- Complete bore surveys, condition reports and repair recommendations
- Work closely with trades teams to minimise equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate records and comply with safety procedures
What we are looking for
- Australian Manual Drivers Licence
- Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate – Engineering
- Minimum 3 years post trade experience (MEM)
- Proven experience with line boring and welding
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Dogging
