About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter to join a dynamic and innovative team at our Leonora based Hub operation, where the ‘way we work’ is just as important as the expertise we demonstrate every day.

This role will suit a proactive leader with a solution-focused approach, strong technical expertise in modern mining fleets, and a "can-do" attitude to play a critical role in supervising and supporting maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability, safety, and efficiency, whilst fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

The role is on offer on a 15 on 13 off days and nights Fly-In Fly-Out roster from Perth to Leonora (or Drive-in Drive-Out from regional centres), the choice is yours!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the supervisor in monitoring and daily activity distribution among trade staff

About You / Requirements

• Trade Qualification in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Diesel Fitting, or Mechanical Fitting
• Extensive experience working on Hitachi excavators (EX2000, EX2600, EX1200), Komatsu HD1500 haul trucks, and Caterpillar ancillary equipment.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a maintenance team
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment
• Understanding of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations and commitment to high safety standards
• Additional qualifications such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, EWP, Rigging & Dogging tickets will be highly regarded

Qualifications & Certifications

• Trade Qualification in Heavy Duty Mechanics
• Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting
• Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting
• Additional qualifications such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, EWP, Rigging & Dogging tickets will be highly regarded
