Lab Technician

We're looking for a hands-on Laboratory Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-first environment and enjoys working with real process data, not just test tubes.

This role sits at the heart of a major mining operation, supporting production, metallurgy, environment and water teams with accurate, timely laboratory results.

Your new role

• Preparing and analysing ore and concentrate samples

• Conducting wet chemistry, acid digests and routine laboratory testing

• Operating and maintaining analytical equipment (XRF, ICP-OES, benchtop analysers)

• Preparing chemical standards and solutions

• Performing data entry, QA/QC checks, and reporting results

• Collecting samples from processing plant areas

• Maintaining a clean, compliant and safety-focused laboratory

What you'll need to succeed

You’re practical, detail-focused and comfortable working autonomously or as part of a small team.

• Previous experience in a laboratory technician or analytical role
• Exposure to mining, minerals, metallurgy, petroleum or industrial laboratories
• Strong understanding of laboratory QA/QC and safe work practices
• Confidence handling chemicals and operating analytical equipment
• Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Physically capable of working in hot, humid, site-based conditions

Qualifications in chemistry, engineering or laboratory sciences are highly regarded, but hands-on experience is key.
