About the Role

WorkPac is seeking experienced and safety-focused Front-End Loader Operators to join a busy quarry operation.

These positions will suit reliable, hardworking operators with proven experience operating front-end loaders in a quarry environment. The successful candidates will be confident operating large loaders, moving quarry materials and supporting daily production activities while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Experience operating Volvo L250 and L260 loaders, or similar-sized equipment such as the CAT 980, is highly regarded. Experience operating dump trucks, including the Komatsu HD325 or similar to the CAT 770, will also be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently within a quarry environment.
• Load trucks and move quarry materials as required.
• Stockpile materials and maintain designated stockpile areas.
• Complete pre-start inspections and daily equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment faults, hazards and safety concerns.
• Follow site safety procedures and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Assist with general quarry duties and production activities as required.

Equipment

Successful candidates may operate the following equipment:

• Front-End Loaders: Volvo L250 and Volvo L260, similar to the CAT 980.
• Dump Trucks: Komatsu HD325, similar to the CAT 770.

What You Will Need

• Proven experience operating front-end loaders in a quarry environment.
• Current C Class driver's licence.
• White Card.
• RII qualifications or recognised plant operator tickets preferred.
• Experience operating large loaders and moving quarry materials.
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical (PEM).
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening (DAS).
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to assist with general quarry duties when required.
• Reliable transport to and from site.
