About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys working closely with customers to deliver tailored hydraulic solutions. In this role, you will combine technical expertise, application engineering, and sales capability to support customers across the mining and heavy industry sectors.

You will play a key role in developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and providing technical advice and solutions that meet customer requirements while contributing to the continued growth of our hydraulic services business.

About the Role Details

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and achieve sales and revenue targets within the hydraulics business.
• Provide technical sales support and application engineering expertise to customers.
• Interpret customer specifications, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings.
• Prepare accurate quotations, costings, and proposals for hydraulic solutions and services.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
• Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement and account management.
• Identify and manage commercial and technical risks within the sales and application process.
• Negotiate tenders, contracts, and commercial terms to meet customer and business requirements.
• Ensure all enquiries and quotations are processed and followed up in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with hydraulic technicians, supervisors, and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• Strong sales, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and cost estimates.
• A strong understanding of hydraulic systems and fluid power applications.
• Ability to work independently while actively generating new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within the fluid power or hydraulics industry.
• Previous experience in technical sales or business development.
• Experience using CAD software to produce or modify schematics.

Qualifications

• Current Western Australian Driver’s Licence (Essential)
• Certificate IV in Fluid Power (Desirable)
• Diploma of Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (Desirable)
