HD Fitter

About the role: Working with Rio Tinto, across multiple sites You will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, and maintenance of fixed plant equipment to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance across site. This role suits a proactive tradesperson with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to preventative maintenance. This is an 8/6 7/7 Long Term Roster which could lead to a fulltime position
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on fixed plant machinery
• Carry out lubrication tasks, including checking, replenishing, and monitoring lubrication systems
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and hydraulic faults
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards, procedures, and permits
• Accurately record maintenance activities and parts usage
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime

Skills & Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar discipline
• Experience working with fixed plant equipment in a mining or heavy industrial   environment
• Strong safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills
