Fixed Plant Mechanical Craft (International applicant)

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant machinery, including:

• crushers
• conveyors
• screens
• pumps
• mills
• gearboxes and drive systems

• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements.
• Install, align, and commission new fixed plant equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches.
• Complete maintenance records and update CMMS systems accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant reliability.
• Follow all site safety procedures, including isolation, permits, and risk assessments.

Skills & Experience Required

• Trade qualification as a Fitter , Mechanical Fitter , or equivalent (internationally recognised).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working on fixed plant equipment in mining, quarrying, or heavy industry.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Experience in high‑risk or heavy industrial environments is highly regarded.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions. Additional Requirements for International Applicants
