About the Role

Komatsu is seeking an experienced HD Fitter to join our Welshpool workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who is ready to combine hands-on mechanical work with leadership responsibilities. Working closely with the Leading Hand, you'll provide day-to-day support across workshop operations and step into a leadership role when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Leading Hand in coordinating daily workshop activities
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team while promoting a strong safety culture
• Carry out the assembly, fit-out and commissioning of new mobile equipment within our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) department
• Install customer-specific options and modifications
• Conduct testing and quality inspections to ensure machines meet Komatsu's high standards
• Assist in maintaining workshop productivity, quality and efficiency
• Roster: Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
• Role Located: Welshpool

About You / Requirements

• Cert III Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in a step up or supervisor capacity
• Full “C” Class Drivers Licence
• Current EWP and Working at heights desirable
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – desirable
• Ability to complete full pre-employment medical check as well as random drug testing

Qualifications & Certifications

• Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (desirable)
