About the role
Murrin Murrin Operations employs more than 1,000 people across mining, processing and support services, making it one of the largest integrated nickel operations in Australia. Operating a large open pit mining fleet alongside a technically complex processing facility presents a diverse range of safety and occupational hygiene challenges.
Working a FIFO 8/6 roster on-site, Graduates entering the health, hygiene and safety discipline at Murrin Murrin will gain practical exposure to managing risk across heavy mining equipment, chemical processing environments and large-scale industrial operations. Working with experienced safety professionals, graduates will assist in identifying hazards, implementing controls and supporting operational teams to maintain a strong safety culture across the site. This provides a unique opportunity to develop practical safety leadership capability within a large and technically complex mining operation. The program commences in February 2027.
About You

Qualified with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, Health, Environmental Health or similar discipline (prior to commencement)

Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in high-risk work environments

Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across all levels of an organisation

High level of computer literacy, including reporting systems and data analysis tools

Exhibit attention to detail, initiative and a willingness to learn and develop

Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Willingness and ability to work in a remote FIFO environment
