The Role

Reporting to the Process Supervisor, you will be a hands-on operator who takes pride in your work, maintains high housekeeping standards and works collaboratively with the wider processing team to achieve safe and consistent production outcomes. This includes:

• Safely operate and monitor gold room equipment, including electrowinning cells, calcine ovens, smelting furnaces and associated gold recovery systems.
• Perform gold room activities, including cathode preparation, gold sludge handling, washing, filtering, drying, flux preparation, smelting and bullion pouring, in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with gravity, elution and electrowinning operations as required to maintain effective gold recovery and production.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify operating issues, abnormal conditions and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain strict gold room security, gold accounting, bullion handling, weighing, sampling and recordkeeping procedures.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience working in a gold room within a gold processing plant.
• Demonstrated experience in gold electrowinning, cathode preparation, gold sludge processing and bullion smelting.
• A sound understanding of gold recovery processes, gold room operating procedures and associated equipment.
• The ability to identify operational issues, follow procedures and respond appropriately to abnormal conditions.
• A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver’s licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance – Mandatory.
