Geology Superintendent

About the Role

As the Superintendent – Geology at our Cowal Gold Operation, you’ll step into one of the most influential technical leadership positions on site. This is your opportunity to lead both Open Pit and Underground Mine Geology functions, guiding a highly capable team through a period of significant growth, investment and transformation.

In this role you will:

• Lead Open Pit, Underground and Resource Geology teams to deliver accurate and reliable geological models that directly shape production and mine planning.
• Oversee grade control drilling, geological interpretation, modelling and reconciliation, ensuring the operation mines the right ore at the right time.
• Influence strategic direction by contributing to budgets, forecasts, life of mine planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Play a pivotal role in strengthening our underground geology systems, an area of high focus and high potential.
• Lead a team of experienced senior geologists supported by a broader group of talented professionals who know the operation deeply.

About You

You are an experienced geology leader who thrives in an environment where your expertise truly matters. You enjoy working closely with operational teams, influencing decisions and leading others to deliver high quality technical outcomes.

You will bring:

• Strong experience in Underground Mine Geology (highly regarded), with Open Pit exposure also valuable.
• Demonstrated leadership of technical geology teams, ideally across multiple mining domains.
• Proficiency with key geological software including Leapfrog, Datashed and Microsoft Office.
• A thoughtful, confident style - you can guide, challenge, communicate clearly, and make sound calls without needing to be micromanaged.
• A passion for improvement, curiosity, and the desire to contribute to an operation that is investing heavily in growth, technology and new ways of working.
