These opportunities are for entry-level operator roles with our Queensland Metallurgical Operations. Residential roles are based in Mount Isa and offer a variety of rosters, including some with the nightshift component.

Details On Opportunities These opportunities may include positions such as operators, metallurgical plant attendants, trades assistants and plant operators across our Queensland Metallurgical Operations. Successful candidates will receive training and development to safely be competent, while building a long term career within surface mining.

In these roles you could be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conducting pre-start inspections and checks
  • Assisting with operational and maintenance activities as required
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
  • Following site safety procedures and operational requirements

To be a successful applicant you must have:

  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic
  • A willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
  • A current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • A willingness to relocate to Mount Isa at your own expense
