Your Opportunity
Preparation and coordination of multi-discipline first principles tender estimates specialising in shutdowns, maintenance work, sustaining capital. Reporting directly to the GM – Operations & Maintenance, you will be a part of the growing Primero Operations & Maintenance Team.
Location: Osborne Park, office will be moving into the CBD in 3Q
Your Key Responsibilities
* Estimate tender packages in accordance with Tender Procedure,
* Contribute to the execution methodology,
* Produce accurate, transparent and market competitive direct and indirect cost estimates using first principles and norms methods consistent with the agreed execution methodology,
* Understanding of Enterprise Agreements and cost build ups to develop labour rate calculations.
* Attend site visits and contribute to methodology development, scoping and sequencing,
* Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure all required estimate data is received in a timely manner so that the estimate may be produced to meet tender timelines,
* Identify Project risks and opportunities and qualify or price as advised by the Bid Manager,
* Participate in Client tender presentations and tender clarification process as required,
* Prepare handover documentation to Project team for successful Project awards.
What You ‘Can Do’
Skills and qualifications that are essential to the role
* Successful multi discipline estimating experience in the WA Resources and Energy sector for maintenance, shutdown and project works values ranging from $1m up to $100m+.
* Construction contractor direct-hire labour, plant, and materials experience.
* Degree qualified engineering, trade certificate or equivalent with relevant industry specific field experience.
* Proven success pricing and winning "First Principle" bids.
* Intermediate-Advanced user of Excel.
* Sound commercial acumen including understanding project cost and scheduling.

* Well-rounded communication-verbal/written and leadership ability.
* Excellent planning, logistics, time management and delivery skills.
* Ability to analyse and solve complex problems within a fast-paced environment.
