Westgold is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven EHS Data Analyst to support our Environment, Health & Safety Team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning data into actionable insights and wants to make a real impact on safety performance across our operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Safety & Sustainability Officer, you will be responsible for the governance, accuracy and reporting of EHS data. Your work will support both operational decision‑making and strategic planning.
This is a Perth‑based position on a 5/2 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain governance for EHS data processes, standards and quality controls
- Coordinate and validate EHS data from sites and functions
- Develop and automate EHS reporting, dashboards and performance insights
- Analyse data trends and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Support and administer EHS information systems (incident management, audits, inspections, training records)
- Prepare data packs and narratives for executive, board and regulatory reporting
- Partner with EHS, Operations and Sustainability teams to define reporting needs
- Maintain audit‑ready compliance and record management
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting or compliance-focused roles (mining/resources experience desirable)
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel), Power BI, and other data visualisation tools
- Experience with EHS management systems (SAP, INX, SAI360 or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Understanding of data governance principles
- Continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Health & Safety, Environmental Science or similar
- Training/experience with analytics tools (Excel, Power BI)
- SQL/data modelling experience desirable
- Relevant certifications (ICAM, ISO 45001/14001 auditor, Power BI) are a bonus
