About the Role
Pearl Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Coded Welder (3G) for a short-term workshop project in Welshpool with our client, a well-established engineering and metal fabrication organisation.
Coded Welder (3G) Welshpool Workshop Location Mon–Thurs: 10-hour days | Fri & Sat: 6-hour days $55/hr + super + penalties Immediate Start | Approx 4-Week Project Opportunity for Extension
Responsibilities:
- Working within the workshop as part of an experienced welding and fabrication team, you will be responsible for:
- Completing 3G welding on heavy structural steel and fabricated components
- MIG/FCAW welding to approved WPS and project specifications
- Welding frames, skids, tanks, chutes and structural steelwork
- Preparing weld joints, including grinding, bevelling and fit-up
- Inspecting and rectifying welds where required
- Using grinders, gouging equipment and general workshop tools
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
To Be Successful, You Will Require:
- Relevant trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication / Boilermaking / Welding or equivalent
- Previous 3G coded welding experience, with the ability to successfully complete a weld test prior to commencement
- Strong MIG/FCAW welding experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Unrestricted Australian working rights for the duration of the project
- Availability to commence immediately
