Civil Labourer / Drainage Offsider

About the Company

Our client operates across a range of industrial and infrastructure environments, delivering essential civil and drainage maintenance services throughout the Perth metro area. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking reliable and hardworking Civil Labourers / Drainage Offsiders to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with civil, construction, drainage or pipelaying experience, as well as those looking to get their foot in the door of the industry. Working alongside experienced crews, you'll assist with a range of drainage maintenance, installation and general civil works, with full training and opportunities to upskill available.

Location

Malaga Depot + Perth Metro Site Locations

Compensation

$38.44–$40.00/hr + super + penalties (depending on experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:40pm + additional overtime

What Will You Be Doing?

Starting from the Malaga depot each morning, you'll travel with the crew in company vehicles to worksites across Perth. Duties will include:

• Assisting with stormwater drainage installation, maintenance and cleaning
• Supporting pipelaying and general civil works
• Assisting truck drivers and drainage crews with day-to-day operations
• Supporting CCTV inspections of drainage structures
• General labouring, including shovelling, digging, trenching and site clean-up
• Using basic hand tools, measuring equipment and small plant
• Assisting with equipment setup, pack-up and service installation
• Completing pre-starts, JSEAs and basic site paperwork
• Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work environment

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

• Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual highly regarded; MR advantageous)
• Current Construction White Card
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
• Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Safety-focused attitude and ability to work well within a team
• Previous civil, construction, drainage, pipelaying or general labouring experience highly regarded, but not essential for entry-level candidates
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol assessment
• Full Australian working rights
