We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback. Due to anticipated growth across our flagship portfolio in Central QLD, we have exciting new opportunities for an experienced Chefs withing our kitchen brigade.

The Positions

• Line Chef
  • Salary: $98,587 + Super
  • Roster: Working on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster
  • Location/Travel: DIDO from Central QLD or FIFO from Brisbane Available
• Sous & Head Chef
  • Salary: $100,000 - $105,000 + Super
  • Roster: Working on a 9x days on, 5x days off roster
  • Location/Travel: DIDO from Central QLD or FIFO from Brisbane Available

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees
• Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, and / or Dinner and Desserts
• Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
• Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
• Managing catering team performance and employee development

About You / Requirements

• Chef Qualifications / minimum of Cert III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience within bulk catering environments
• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
• Experience in leading a brigade, rostering and cost control (Head Chef)
• Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines
• Be able to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test

Qualifications & Certifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
