About the Company
Our client is a well-established, growing, family-owned business supplying the swimming pool industry Australia-wide. They are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team and take responsibility for a broad range of bookkeeping and accounts functions. Based at their Welshpool headquarters, this is a hands-on role working closely with the finance and operations teams. The position would suit someone who enjoys variety, enjoys a supportive, fun work environment, takes pride in accuracy and is confident managing their own workload.
About the Role
- Permanent Full-Time Position
- Location: Welshpool, WA
- Salary: $78,000 - $85,000 + Super (depending on experience)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts receivable functions with some accounts payable functions when needed
- Conducting debt collection calls and following up outstanding payments
- Preparing and submitting BAS accurately and on schedule
- Processing payroll efficiently and accurately
- Reconciling financial statements and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Providing general finance and administration support as required
To Be Successful
- Proven experience in a broad bookkeeping role, including debt collection
- Sound knowledge of BAS, payroll and general accounting principles
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new accounting software (Online Advantage or Pronto experience is highly desirable)
- Previous experience using Xero (highly regarded)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience or formal qualifications
