About the Role
You will play a critical role in the successful running of village operations. Village managers are responsible for managing multiple departments including housekeeping, catering, building & maintenance and administration. Experience managing diverse teams will be essential to succeed in this role. A current manual driver’s licence is mandatory in order to operate our site vehicles. This is a FIFO Role, 8:6 Roaster flying out from Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations and administration of the residential village, including overseeing staff, budgets, and maintenance
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to enhance the resident experience
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of all village services, such as catering, housekeeping, and leisure activities
- Foster a positive and collaborative community culture, addressing resident concerns and facilitating social events
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation governing the management of a residential village
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including residents, staff and external service providers
- Manage the village's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
About You
- You’ll have a client and consumer centric approach to service.
- Financial acumen, implementing cost saving initiatives, systems utilisation, compliance and reporting are all skills that you possess, but people management skills are where you excel.
- You will be required to identify areas for improvement and utilise our systems, policies and procedures with a view towards improving the efficiency of village operations.
- You are a food safety champion and will be familiar with HACCP compliance and remote site HSE requirements.
- Your strongest management skills will be related to people, teams and culture.
- You’ll have the ability to build and support team cohesion and will be a safety leader for all employees on site.
- You’ll have a proven ability to negotiate, influence, listen, guide and interact effectively with people at all levels of the business.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Previous remote site experience is highly desirable. In lieu of remote experience, extensive hospitality experience at a general manager level will be transferrable to this opportunity.
- Manual Driving Licence (mandatory for site vehicles).
