Village Manager

About the Role

Are you a hospitality manager and a great communicator with a passion for people and business?

If you’re looking to be part of a friendly, close-knit, customer-centric team, Sodexo has several permanent opportunities for Village Managers, working fly-in fly-out (FIFO) on a 14 days on, 14 days off (2:2) roster from Brisbane. Previous experience working at remote sites is not required.

As the Village Manager, you will play a vital role in the successful running of village operations, reporting directly to the region's Operation Manager. You will contribute extensively to effective day-to-day operations and bring an innovative, big-picture perspective to the business. Experience in a similar role is not essential.

About You / Requirements

• Hospitality management or leadership experience in a hotel, pub or resort, overseeing one or more of the following areas: food and beverage, housekeeping, accommodation, or front of house/administration.
• Four years of managerial experience in hospitality, facility management or a similar industry.
• People management and project management experience.
• Proven communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and support teams, and demonstrated experience managing and building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Safety leadership, with an understanding of HSE and HR legislation.
• A strong business focus, including experience with financial budgets, P&Ls and allocation of resources.
• Current full QLD manual driver’s licence.
• Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights.
• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, and a police check.
• A general understanding of and experience with facilities maintenance/management is preferred but not essential.
