About the Role

Underground Diesel Fitters – DUGALD RIVER / 2&2 ROSTER This is a full time, long-term opportunity with Redpath Australia for a Diesel Fitter to work on the Dugald River Project in North Queensland. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor on your crew and be part of a large but close-knit team of experienced HD Fitters. The role involves general mechanical work including repairs, attending breakdowns and performing service work to heavy mobile and fixed plant and equipment in a workshop environment. Conduct fault finding, repairing and/or replacing components as required; maintain plant and equipment ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a large but close-knit team of experienced HD Fitters.
• You will assist with – General mechanical work including repairs, attend breakdowns and perform service work to heavy mobile and fixed plant and equipment in a workshop environment.
• Conduct fault finding repairing and/ or replacing components as required; Maintain plant and equipment ensuring compliance with regulations;

Qualifications & Certifications

• Heavy vehicle mobile equipment or diesel fitter trade qualification.
• Experience working with underground mining equipment, particularly heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Valid manual drivers licence
• Current First Aid, & CPR qualification.
• A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
