Hays is proud to partner with a leading mining operation to recruit an Underground technician to support their underground technology communications systems.

Your new role

6-month contract role with 8:6 roster

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the installation of radio and Wi-Fi equipment, including leaky feeder cabling, Wi-Fi Access Points and radiating cable.
• Providing support and troubleshooting for mine communication infrastructure, including Tetra Digital and UHF radio systems, along with the wireless network
• Administering the Tetra Digital UHF Radio System
• Ensuring reliable wireless communications across the site to maintain safe and efficient operations
• Providing first‑level hands-on support for repair and maintenance of technology hardware

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a communications/systems role
• Experience with a Fleet Management System (MineStar, Modular, Jigsaw or similar)
• Underground communication experience (DAS, leaky feeder) will be highly regarded.
• C-Class Driver’s Licence
• Existing and ongoing valid Australian work rights (Mandatory)
