Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing business servicing the mining and bulk materials handling sector. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Perth-based operations team.

NOR Perth Based Role
Monday to Friday, Fulltime Hours
Salary Negotiable (Pending Experience)
The Role: Reporting into senior management, this role will oversee the delivery of capital equipment and mining projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing assigned mining and capital equipment projects from contract award through to completion while coordinating clients, suppliers, workshop teams and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
Overseeing procurement, project scheduling, labour coordination, reporting, invoicing, cost control and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle
Working closely with operations and workshop teams to support fabrication schedules, resource planning and project delivery requirements
Supporting project administration, risk management, continuous improvement initiatives and site activities as required
About You: You’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering mining, manufacturing or capital equipment projects within industrial or resources environments. Other key requirements are:
- Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, contracts or equipment packages within mining, manufacturing or heavy industrial industries
- Mechanical, manufacturing or process engineering exposure (ideally within mining and bulk materials handling environments across commodities such as iron ore, gold, copper, lithium and rare earths)
- Strong understanding of project delivery, procurement, commercial contracts, cost control and risk management principles
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- Strong capability managing project scope, schedules, budgets and contractual variations throughout project delivery phases
- Intermediate skills across Microsoft Project, Word and Excel
