About Our Client
Our leading global mining and resource client is a leading producer of iron ore, copper, metallurgical coal, nickel and potash. As part of their Minerals Australia operation, you will have the opportunity to work onsite with one of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold and uranium including underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal
About The Role:
WorkPac is seeking an Underground Technician to join an underground mining operation on an 8/6 days, 7/7 nights roster. This role plays a critical part in monitoring air quality and supporting safe underground mining operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Undertake daily air quality surveys in underground working areas
- Reconcile, record, and report air quality data
- Liaise with mine ventilation, occupational hygiene, radiation and production teams
- Assist the Radiation Safety Officer with maintaining air quality data
- Support site safety and regulatory compliance
What You Will Need:
- A strong safety-focused work ethic
- Experience working within an underground mine production environment
- Ability to drive manual LV vehicles underground and pass a driving assessment
- Technical or field-based data collection experience (desirable but not essential)
- Proficiency in Excel with strong attention to data accuracy
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously as required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- National Police Clearance
