Sustainability Advisor

About the Role

Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.

We’re seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support the delivery of our Sustainability and ESG programs across the business. Reporting to the Principal Sustainability, this role plays a key part in sustainability data management, climate‑related reporting and coordinating ESG initiatives aligned with Our Environment, Our People, Our Communities and Our Organisation.

Based in our Perth Head Office, this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their sustainability career in a supportive, collaborative environment with exposure to meaningful ESG and climate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and manage sustainability data, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions

• Support sustainability and climate disclosure requirements (AASB S2, NGER, NPI, GRI)

• Contribute to AASB S2 delivery, decarbonisation and broader ESG initiatives

• Embed sustainability into projects, procurement and business activities

• Maintain sustainability data systems and registers

• Support delivery of the Sustainability Strategy and site‑based initiatives

• Assist with sustainability communications and engagement activities

• Support ESG benchmarking, analysis and continuous improvement

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to collect data and meet reporting timelines

About You

You’re detail‑oriented and motivated, with a genuine interest in ESG and data‑driven reporting. You enjoy working collaboratively, are comfortable managing multiple priorities and are keen to continue developing your technical and analytical skills.

You will ideally have:

• A tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, Law, Science, Accounting or similar

• Foundational understanding of sustainability, ESG and climate‑related concepts

• Strong attention to detail and developing analytical capability

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable:

• Experience in a sustainability, ESG, environmental or audit role

• Exposure to ESG reporting frameworks (ASRS, GRI or similar)

• Familiarity with carbon accounting or sustainability data systems

• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industry environments
