About The Role

We are looking for a Supervisor to lead a team of 12 process operators within our Carbon Products Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader looking to grow their leadership capability or an experienced leader seeking a new challenge in a different operational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, organising, developing and motivating the team to safely achieve shift targets
  • Providing visible and tangible safety leadership and embedding a strong safety culture
  • Driving improvement across Health and Safety fundamentals including pre‑starts, hazard identification, Critical Risk Management (CRM), leadership in the field and incident investigation
  • Coaching team members on safety expectations and standards of work
  • Managing team performance using Rio Tinto HR systems and consequence management guidelines

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to have courageous conversations
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively
