Supervisor - Construction

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Construction Supervisor - Projects, the Construction Supervisor plays a key role in delivering Ernest Henry’s growing pipeline of infrastructure and underground expansion projects.

This role sits within a newly established Projects team, supporting a range of works including surface infrastructure upgrades, and underground ventilation, dewatering and electrical projects.

You will lead contractor work fronts and ensure construction activities are delivered safely, to quality, and in line with schedule and cost expectations - acting as a client-side representative, not a contractor.

This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring strong field presence. Success comes from holding contractors to account, maintaining high standards, and building strong working relationships across site to deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising construction activities across multiple project work fronts
• Managing contractor safety, performance and compliance on site
• Delivering works in line with project schedules and cost expectations
• Ensuring construction management and governance processes are followed
• Supporting project handovers and close-out documentation
• Driving accountability across contractors and work crews
• Supporting evolving project scopes and change management
• Identifying opportunities to improve execution and site standards
• Building effective relationships with Maintenance, Operations and Project teams

About You

You are an experienced Construction Supervisor who understands how to deliver projects in an operational mining environment. You’re confident working with contractors, know how to keep work moving, and are comfortable stepping in to challenge where standards aren’t being met.

Importantly, you understand the difference between working for the contractor vs representing the client and are motivated by delivering the right outcome for the operation.

You will also bring:

• Demonstrated experience supervising construction or project works
• Strong safety leadership and contractor management capability
• Ability to read, interpret and work to project schedules
• Mining experience (underground highly regarded)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• High level of professionalism, accountability and maturity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
• Commitment to Safety, Health, Environment and Community practices
