We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent – Metallurgical Technical Services; to join our accomplished Processing Team at Tropicana Gold Mine.

Accountable to the Processing Manager, this role is responsible for managing and continuously improving production activities to ensure the business unit meets or exceeds the plan.

This is a FIFO position offered on a 8 days on/6 days off roster.

Role Purpose:

To provide strategic support to the processing plant by leading improvement initiatives, investigating, assessing and implementing technologies and processes to deliver lower sustainable costs and optimum gold production rates. Lead the business improvement team in processing department to deliver value.

Accountabilities

• Ensure that safety, health and environmental standards are complied with
• Assist the Process Plant Manager in the execution and achievement of the production plan
• Manage, develop and promote continuous improvement principles and philosophies within the Processing team that align with AGA’s Full Asset Potential
• Execute Capital Projects held within the Processing Department, and support Projects executed by other departments
• Management of Plant Control System (PCS) including technical & commercial oversight of external parties
• Provide input into the construction of the annual processing physical and Opex/Capex budget.
• Liaise with metallurgical, operational and maintenance staff on the planning and scheduling of improvement activities
• Manage a team of 2 direct reports , and the activities of external contractors
• Analyse production results and recommend improvement activities to management

About You;

To be considered, we would like to see you have:

• Extensive professional experience within the mining industry and gold processing plants

• A Tertiary qualification held in Metallurgy, Process or Chemical Engineering

• Previous roles held at operational superintendent level

• Working knowledge of gold processing technologies, including High Pressure Grinding Rolls

• Exposure to the Cyanide Code

• Production planning, maintenance planning and project management experience

• Proactive attitude with excellent communication skills

• Ability to work effectively with other departments to achieve business goals

• A proficient level of computer skills and knowledge in MS Office

• Permanent work rights in Australia

• National Police Clearance
