Structural Engineer

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth or Residential Port Hedland

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who will provide day-to-day structural engineering tasks, including inspections, assessment and reporting of defects on fixed plant assets, non-process infrastructure and balanced machines, review of drawings and calculations, and design of non-complex structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Substantial experience in structural design and analysis
• Knowledge of mining equipment and fixed plant assets
• Sound understanding of Asset Management in line with inspection of mining equipment and infrastructure such as balanced machines, fixed plant assets and non-process infrastructure
• Knowledge of geotechnical and civil works

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural)
• Membership in distinguished engineering institutions such as Engineers Australia
• Holds or ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• Holds a valid Western Australia C-class driver’s licence
