About the Role

We are seeking a Storeperson to coordinate the Appin division's logistics requirements while performing a broad range of warehousing and inventory management activities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory records and an organised warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality stores, warehousing, and logistics support for both surface and underground operations.
• Safely receive, unload, load, store, issue, and dispatch stock, freight, consumables, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory control through stock receipting, stock movements, daily cycle counts, discrepancy investigation, and inventory management activities.
• Ensure warehouse, laydown yard, workshop stores, and storage locations are organised, secure, well-maintained, and meet housekeeping standards.
• Monitor and maintain consumable stock levels, ensure materials meet specification requirements, and maintain segregation of stock and non-stock items.
• Comply with all site safety requirements, complete equipment pre-start inspections, and actively participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks, shift handovers, and safety meetings.

About You / Requirements

• Ability to live and work in remote locations for extended periods and successfully maintain all required medical and fitness standards.
• Ability to work safely in both surface and underground mining environments, including 12-hour shifts and exposure to varying weather and site conditions.
• Physical capacity to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 35 kg.
• Ability to wear required PPE, safely operate vehicles and equipment, and evacuate the mine in emergency situations.
• Maintain the vision, hearing, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and overall health required to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
