About the Role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this opportunity is a critical role shaping how work gets done across our workshop operations. You will translate hands-on workshop knowledge into clear, consistent, safety driven standard work documentation that enables our teams to perform at their best—every shift, every build.

Roster – Monday to Friday 8.5 hour day including meal break

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain standard work documentation for workshop processes
• Partner with supervisors, trades and engineers to capture best practice
• Write clear, compliant build, strip-down and assembly instructions
• Capture operational data to improve efficiency and component quality
• Ensure all documentation meets WesTrac safety, quality and style standards
• Deliver procedures on time in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Support continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives
• Align documentation with Caterpillar, WesTrac and workshop requirements

About You / Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude or trade background (workshop or machinery exposure ideal)
• Proven ability to document technical processes clearly and accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in admin, coordination or customer-facing technical roles
• Knowledge of parts, components or workshop operations
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Exposure to Caterpillar SIS or Cat® components (advantage, not essential)
