Monadelphous is seeking experienced SMP Supervisor to join our shutdown leadership team based in Gladstone, Central Queensland.

The role of SMP Supervisor will see you play a vital role in an Alumina Refinery shutdown specifically focusing on the Digestion Shutdown, ensuring safe, efficient and controlled execution of nightshift works.

Key Dates & Roster

Training: Friday 8th May.

Pre works: 11th May – 15th May.

Day Shift.  10 hour days.

Shutdown Period: 18th May – 8th June

Roster: 5/1.

Night Shift: 12.5 hour days.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Allocate and coordinate daily work tasks during shutdown execution.
• Collaborate closely with client representatives to plan work, report progress, and resolve issues.
• Provide hands-on, safety focused leadership across all work fronts.

What you will bring:

• Previous supervisory experience in shutdown environments, preferably within alumina or similar continuous processing plants.
• Australian recognised Trade Certificate – Fabrication.
• AS1796 Cert 10 – advantageous but not essential.
• Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (current within 2 years).
• Confident and capable user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to work cooperatively to achieve project and site goals.
• A positive attitude and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.
