About the Role

• Scotford Fennessy is currently seeking experienced Shotfirers to join our client’s established open-pit mining operation in Western Australia.
• This FIFO temp-to-permanent opportunity offers competitive rates of $60-$75 per hour plus super paid on all hours worked, an 8/6 roster, modern camp facilities, and the opportunity to secure long-term employment with a reputable mining company.
• In this role, you will be responsible for charging, stemming and firing blast patterns, working with both electronic and non-electric detonator systems, and executing blast plans safely and efficiently. You will work closely with drill and production crews to ensure blasting activities are completed to the highest safety and operational standards.

To be considered

• You must hold a valid WA Shotfirer’s Licence and Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Previous open-pit mining experience and a strong commitment to safety.
• Experience with cast boosters and detonator systems
• HR Licence is desirable
