About the Role
In the role, you will provide quality and timely blasting services as part of our Surface Mining team at our owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine.
Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and use explosives safely and in compliance with legislation, maintaining storage areas and conducting QA audits.
- Identify and report hazards, supporting a zero-harm safety culture and ensuring environmental compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the mining team to achieve production goals efficiently and safely.
Skills & Qualifications
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- WA Shot Firer’s License is required
- Experience in surface mining operations in a similar position
