Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Shotfirer to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Production team and reporting directly to the Blasting Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• The safety and health of all persons and equipment in and around the mining operation.
• Ensuring compliance with the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Demonstrating visible safety and integrity by adhering to instructions issued by the Blasting Supervisors and Shotfirers to achieve KPIs.
• Displaying a strong commitment to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and contributing to the ongoing development of an efficient Blast crew.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Explosives QLD Security Clearance.
• Valid QLD Drivers Licence.
• Current RIIBLA201 Competency.
• Current Standard 11 Generic Induction.
• Understanding of the current QLD Explosives Act and Regulations.
• Previous experience is considered an advantage but is not required.
• Proactive attitude to safety.
• Strong communication skills.
• A commitment to embracing company values and contributing to a safe and efficient work culture.
