The Role

Due to exciting growth, SRG Global Mining Services is looking for skilled Shotfirers to join our long-term projects at our Cowal (West Whyalong), NSW Operations. You’ll be working with a professional team that values clear communication, safety, and efficiency backed by competitive pay, modern equipment, and industry-leading facilities. Both full-time and casual positions are available. DIDO on a company-supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior shotfirer with blasting activities.
• Follow load and tie-in plans.
• Conduct explosive vehicle and magazine inspections.
• Handle explosives and ensure safety.
• Clean and secure blast areas.
• Report incidents and complete documentation.
• Spot MMU and stemming loader on the blast pattern.

The Successful Applicant Will Have

• Previous experience in a shotfirer role.
• Blasting Explosives User License (NSW).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
• A valid manual driver’s licence.
• Security clearance.

Desirables

• HR class driver’s licence.
• Electronic blasting knowledge.
