Programmed Energy & Resources are currently seeking Experienced Open Cut Shotfirers to join our team at a great Coal Mine, located west of Rockhampton.

This is a well-established operation in Central Queensland, offering stability, strong team culture and a safety-first environment. Due to operational requirements, we are looking for skilled Shotfirers with proven electronic initiation experience to join our crew.

About the Role

Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant preparation, loading and firing of production blasts. This role requires a high level of technical competency, attention to detail and strict adherence to site safety standards.

• 7/7 Roster
• 12hour days
• DIDO to Blackwater

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Open Cut Shotfirer in a coal mining environment
• Experience with electronic initiation systems (essential)
• Current QLD Explosive Security Licence (mandatory)
• Current QLD Open Cut Shotfirer's Licence (mandatory)
• Strong safety focus and understanding of Queensland mining legislation
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a production-driven environment
