The Opportunity
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor you will play a key role in the upkeep of a diverse fleet of LVs, Cat & Komatsu Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Graders, Dozers, Kenworth C509s and Generators. This will be 2/1 Roster with alternating day and night shift with FIFO ex Perth, you will be working a long side of team of HD Fitters, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers and Trade Assistants.
What is required?
- Unrestricted HR-Drivers Licence
- Mechanical aptitude with minimum 2 years’ experience in a mining or related heavy industry
- A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
- Demonstrated experience with 4WD Toyota’s and light trucks
- Experience with maintaining ancillary equipment such as generators and compressors
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Unlimited Australian Work Rights
About Onslow Iron
Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport and innovative transhipping.
Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.
The project will encompass the Ken’s Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Onslow Port infrastructure and Onslow Truck Maintenance Facility.
