Senior Underground Mine Geologist

This is a genuine senior operational geology role with a growing underground gold producer. You'll be a key technical leader on site, working closely with mining, technical services and processing teams to ensure geological information is translated into safe, practical and profitable mining outcomes.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day behind a computer. We're looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and comfortable being visible underground, supporting production and mentoring a team of geologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide geological leadership across active underground production areas.
• Drive excellence in grade control, reconciliation and ore forecasting.
• Deliver practical geological advice to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Review stoping outcomes and validate grade control performance.
• Manage geological data collection, validation and interpretation.
• Track ore movement from underground through to the processing plant.
• Lead reconciliation activities and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Support mine planning and Life of Mine (LOM) planning activities.
• Oversee resource and extensional drilling programs.
• Contribute to safety, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor, develop and manage geology personnel and contractors.

About You

• Degree qualified in Geology or a related discipline.
• Strong underground gold mining experience.
• Experience with grade control, geological modelling and reconciliation.
• Proficient with Leapfrog and other 3D geological software.
• Strong understanding of mine-to-mill processes.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and experience mentoring others.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Resource estimation experience would be highly regarded.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
