Role Details

• Working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, you’ll take a lead role within the Resource Geology team, reporting to the Geology Superintendent. You’ll work back-to-back with another Senior Resource Geologist and lead a panel of four Resource Project Geologists.
• This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You’ll oversee the quality and delivery of resource models and estimates, while providing direction, mentoring and technical support to your team.
• Your scope will cover resource modelling and estimation, orebody interpretation, Resource and Reserve reporting, reconciliation and QA/QC. You’ll also contribute to infill drilling programs and geological data quality, working closely with other technical teams to ensure models support mine planning.
• Importantly, you’ll remain close to the geology rather than moving into a purely people-management position.

You’ll ideally have

• 7+ years’ geology experience
• 3+ years’ resource modelling experience
• Narrow-vein gold and production experience
• Strong modelling, estimation and geostatistics skills
• Vulcan, Datamine and/or Leapfrog experience
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
