Job Description
An established underground gold operation is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join site on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth for an initial 6-month contract.
This position offers broad operational exposure, working closely with site leadership to optimise mine performance while providing the opportunity to act as Deputy Underground Manager when required.
Responsibility snapshot:
- Develop and deliver short to medium-term production plans
- Manage stope design and drill & blast activities
- Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Reconcile plan versus actual results and identify optimisation opportunities
- Mentor and support Production and Graduate Engineers
- Assess and mitigate operational risks to target delivery
- Prepare technical and compliance reports
- Act as Deputy Underground Manager when required.
What you’re bringing:
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- Gold mining and underground production engineering experience
- Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams
- Exposure to mine planning, drill & blast, and production optimisation
- Deswik proficiency highly regarded
- WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate desirable.
This is an opportunity to take on a hands-on operational role with influence across mine planning, production performance, and site leadership.
