The role

• Provide leadership & direction to a high performing mining team
• Mentoring of supervisors and up & coming step ups
• Ensure health, safety and environmental awareness
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production
• Provide technical guidance in complex mining areas

About you

• NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency & current practising certificate
• Extensive experience in open cut coal environment
• Experience in a complex mining situation such as steep dipping seams and underground workings
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse team
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across all departments
