We're looking for a Business Systems/ Mining Operation Analyst with genuine mining industry experience to join a growing technology team supporting operational and technical systems across a large mining environment.

This role sits at the intersection of Mining Operations, Technical Services, Geology and IT, working closely with stakeholders to improve the systems, processes and data that underpin day-to-day mine planning and production activities.

To be successful, you'll need experience within the mining sector. This is a mandatory requirement and applications from candidates without mining, geology or technical services exposure are unlikely to be considered.

What you'll be doing

• Working directly with operational and technical stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
• Gathering and documenting requirements for system enhancements, integrations and new initiatives.
• Supporting critical mining applications and related business processes.
• Analysing workflows, reducing manual processes and driving continuous improvement.
• Coordinating testing, user acceptance activities and implementation support.
• Acting as the bridge between business users, vendors and technical delivery teams.
• Supporting data quality, reporting and system governance initiatives across the operation.

What we're looking for

Essential

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Mining Applications Analyst or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience within the mining and resources sector.
• Exposure to one or more of the following:
  • Mine Planning
  • Technical Services
  • Geology
  • Resource Modelling
  • Mine Survey
  • Production Reporting
  • Mining Systems Support
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering experience.
• Experience delivering technology, systems or process improvement initiatives.

Highly Regarded

• Exposure to mining applications such as Deswik, Micromine, Datamine, Datashed, Surpac or similar.
• Experience with operational reporting, data governance or business intelligence solutions.
• Understanding of mining data flows and integrations between operational and enterprise systems.
